Geografia del dolore "Geography of Pain"

by Luigi Ferraro

This Artwork brings something private and painful into view, making it harder to look away and harder not to speak about the moments endured in silence.

A painting that confronts the reality of violence against women, bringing attention to experiences that can often remain unseen or unspoken. A reflection of pain, fear and emotional impact of violence suffered at the hands of an abuser.

What do you see?

What do you feel when you look at this Artwork?

Do you see the wounds created behind closed doors, the fear that takes hold, and the suffering inflicted at the hands of those who are supposed to bring safety?

There's something organic about this piece that makes you pause for a moment. It invites a second look. There is a beautiful balance between simplicity and expression within the art, allowing the details to speak in their own way.

"Leucothea," The White Goddess

The myth of the Odyssey takes on flesh and crystallized rock. The work embodies the tragic yet sublime metamorphosis of Ino, a mortal mother who, seeking to escape madness and grief, attempted suicide by casting herself into the waves with her frail son, Melicertes. Moved by this desperate act, the gods saved her, transforming her into an immortal sea deity and bestowing upon her a new name: Leucothea, the White Goddess.

In the Homeric narrative of the Odyssey, it is she who saves Odysseus from the storm's destructive fury, offering him her divine veil as a lifeline.

Elegance in every detail. Wherever it's displayed, it has the ability to bring an entire space together. A beautiful reminder that sometimes, the smallest details make the biggest impact.

There is something quietly beautiful about this piece. Soft tones of white and grey are brought to life with delicate touches of gold. Creating a sense of elegance without overpowering the space.

There's something organic about the brushstrokes that makes me wonder what l'm looking at. The deep greens and darker tones draw you in, while the lighter spaces give the painting room to breath.

Every piece has a story.
